Just to let you know Hillsboro has a great event every Tuesday night. Around 4:00 main street between 2nd and 3rd shuts down and like magic it is transformed into a street fair with food, music and fresh produce to purchase. Very creative people display their wares for sale as well. It is a great community event that is well worth attending if you haven't tried it yet. You will have to hurry because it ends mid September.
While I was working one fine day, I had the opportunity to chat with a young man who is here in our town along with others who volunteer for a year to teach in our community on a subject that is passionate to them. His passion just happen to be recycling, which is a huge passion of mine. Why do you ask is this relevant to an antique shop blog. Well it has everything to do with it. When you buy from and antique store you are one of the greatest recyclers. You are buying quality items that have with stood the test of time and will last for another 100 years because they were made so well to begin with.
